Personality is related to the psychology of a person’s mind while social abilities describe how a person reacts in certain social situations. (Roberts et al., 2017). Personality has a direct reflection on the development of social abilities, and the behavior of a person describes the personality and well being. Psychology has various personality theories that determine the characteristic behavior of a person while developing social ability traits. Personality has a direct impact on social abilities as well as the development of social relationships. (Didem et al., 2017) The behavioral patterns of personality development interlink to the way a person behaves in different social situations. Jerome S. Bruner also describes that the psychology of personality and psychology of social behavior are referred to as each other. (Blair, 2015). Personality allows individuals to adjust themselves to different social conditions. Personality also links to the critical conditions that include mortality rate, occupational abilities, and socioeconomic status. (Malloy, 2020). An individual practices different social abilities as per the traits of that person. Traits define the personality as described in the classic trait theory. Self regulation is the social ability that is defined due to the personality of the individual. Personality has a greater level of contribution to behavior and social well being. Many psychologists describe a clear relationship between personality and social development. (Roberts et al., 2017). According to the researchers, psychology shapes the personality of a person and develop certain competencies in that person. This level of competence makes the person mature and as a result, that person will be experiencing positivity in the growth of social practices. (Didem et al., 2017)

The development of personality and social skills starts from the infant age as far as the style of attachment is concerned. The parental attachment style aids the infants in adopting a different set of behavioral traits. In the age of developing peer relationships also plays the foremost role in the development of personality and as a result in practicing different social abilities. (Blair, 2015). Social interaction is what helps the child in the development of his personality. Positivity in the development of personality will assist in the development of positivity in social abilities. Different types of personalities have different levels of social abilities to practice. (Roberts et al., 2017). Every personality trait of a person develops the social abilities to perform different sets of tasks. Big five in psychology describe different personality trails present in the person. All these personalities affect differently on the social behavior of a person. Big five describes five personalities of a person and each personality has different levels of practicing social abilities. (Malloy, 2020). These five personalities include openness, extroversion personality, neuroticism personality, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. These five personality traits help in the establishment of social abilities to cope up with different situations. For example, openness in the personality of a person convinces the person to establish the social abilities in such a way that he will encounter new experiences in life while coping up with the most challenging situations. There will be a higher level of curiosity and appreciation in the list of social abilities. (Blair, 2015).  Personality also accounts for the establishment of cognitive skills intellectual functioning. The higher level of intellectual ability will be helping the person to develop cognitive social skills to perform a higher level of intellectual functioning. Personality defines the behavior of a person psychologically while social abilities assist the person in responding against certain levels of situations and fluctuations occurring in society. If a person has an emotional personality then he will develop the social abilities in such a way to provide others with emotional support and care as per the demand of the situation. (Didem et al., 2017)

Let us consider some examples that will be assisting us in dealing to understand the relationship between personality and social psychology in a better way. Extraversion is also a personality trait that makes individual development in such a way to stay independent, social, and extrovert in all the social circumstances. This will make the per practice social abilities in a better way. (Blair, 2015). While on the other hand if the personality trait of a person is agreeableness he will be having the social skills as full of care, nurturance, as well as he might also be linked to altruism. They behave in the social setting warmly and kindly about certain situations. Neuroticism develops social abilities in such to adopt a personality full of anger, depression, and anxiousness. (Roberts et al., 2017). This example falls in the negativity in the personality of a person. Every personality type practices different levels of social abilities and the five factor personality model is a perfect example to see the relation between these two. Personality, traits, and social abilities have different domains, but all of these are interlinked to each other while defining the social behavior of a person. Psychology has different strategic approaches to study the social abilities of a person and its relation to eth psychology of personality. (Malloy, 2020)

The development of personality starts from the infant age and it continues to develop throughout adolescence and adult age. This, as a result, develops the social behavior of a person and that person adopts different social abilities to practice in different social conditions. (Roberts et al., 2017).The personality coefficient also reflects the social abilities and the behavior of a person in certain conditions. The dynamic interaction between personality and social abilities also affects the relationship of different individuals. Therefore, by the above discussion, it is obvious that personality develops the social abilities and differences in personality impacts on the social abilities to practice in different situations. (Malloy, 2020)
