Research Questions:
The research aims to highlight different factors associated with the sedentary lifestyle and the involvement of these factors in obesity. The following research questions will be addressed within the research study:
Methodology:
The methodology followed to achieve the research aims and objectives will be based on the secondary data collection. Secondary data collection involves analyzing the previously present research studies based on the research topic to be analyzed.
Research design:
The research design of the current study will follow qualitative research analysis. Qualitative research is collecting and analyzing data using a deductive approach based on the positivist philosophy (Fusch & Ness, 2015). Qualitative research does not involve statistical analysis and aims to figure out a social phenomenon by observing society. It might involve interviews, case studies and the analysis of the previously present data. aims to find out the relationship between the variables (Connelly, 2016).
Research paradigm:
The research paradigm will follow the positive to research philosophy to understand the social phenomenon objectively. This research philosophy helps in better analysis of the social environment. Despite this, it also helps examine the causal relationship between the variables and supports the qualitative research design. Implementing this philosophy will also help provide the subjective interpretation of the theoretical concepts related to the research topic (Pathak et al., 2013).
Sample and sampling strategy:
Secondary data will be selected in the current research in which data from the previously present research articles will be analyzed. The selected research articles will be peer reviewed and from the previous ten years. (Noble & Smith, 2015). Also, exclusion and the inclusion criteria will be followed for the selection of the secondary articles, which is as follows:
Inclusion criteria:
Exclusion criteria:
Data collection:
The desired secondary data will be achieved by using different keywords for the selection of the articles. Different academic resources will be used to find out the researches based on the research topic. After getting access to different researches, the articles will be filtered based on the above inclusion and exclusion criteria. After getting the desired data, the next step will be the data analysis, including the descriptive analysis of the variables to find the social phenomenon. The qualitative analysis will help in depicting the social phenomenon and the related variables influencing the sedentary lifestyle (Grossoehme, 2014).
Ethical considerations:
All the ethical considerations will be considered in the research, including anonymity, confidentiality, integrity, and honesty (Connelly, 2014). The implementation of these ethical considerations will improve the validity and reliability of the research. Other than this, all the findings will be honestly reported, and authors will be acknowledged likewise.
