Introduction:

Solar energy is considered as one of the most important point of the energy generation now a days which is user friendly as well as eco friendly. The aim of the project is to develop the bus stations which are powered by the solar energy, due to the weather condition and other geographical area of the Abu Dhabi, the sun light is enough to run things on it. This can be adopted full year as a source of energy. The aim of the project is to empower the bus stations with the solar energy which help them to move ahead in the project. There are number of the phases has been involved in the process which helps in the use of bus station to be more efficient. The project leads towards the renewable energy resources and motivate others to use of solar energy. The project emphasis over the use of renewable energy over the bus stations and use of conservative, processing techniques which helps the residents to provide energy (Fernandez, 2008).

This project will provide solar energy, especially in the bus stations within the Abu Dhabi areas. The project facilities are designated to match with the planned outcome without any delay. For that reason, the plan will conduct a comparative market research analysis to evaluate the timeline, resources, and cost required for the successful execution of the system. However, the project considers other competitors, particularly the oil and petroleum distributors, and appraise the best way to win their competition in a nutshell. Therefore, the project will prove why the solar system, mainly when installed in the bus stations, provides an alternative to fossil fuel energy at the expense of distributing a cleaner, safe, and secure energy resource to the humanity and the overall environment. Thus, the project will depict the significance of shifting to solar energy, especially at the bus station in Abu Dhabi, traveling, and booking joints (Fernandez, 2008).

Project Planning:

Scope

Cost Calculation

The total project budget is 800,000 Dirhams. As a team, we calculated this cost by applying the consultants data within the department in the Construction Company. Additionally, we researched other facilities costs based on previous successful projects in other countries. The installation activities mainly focused more on labor costs and materials costs. Therefore, the total cost is obtained through the summation of all the activities, which gives the estimated project cost (Crawford, 2005).

The above table shows how the project cost is estimated. The activities are placed on the left side of the table. Then the duration, experience, labor cost per day, the total cost is identified, and the estimated cost is calculated.

The entire project budget given to complete the project is 820,000 DHS, while the estimated budget cost to complete the project is approximately 750,000 DHS. The remaining 70,000 DHS is aside to cater to any risk or damage incurred during the project installation in the bus stations.

Notably, each activitys cost was calculated based on the information collected from the construction company, which deals with solar panels and other materials. Using this data, our team will able to estimate the average cost of each activity. The project was grouped into four categories: labor, materials, equipment, and indirect cost incurred, such as stationery, concrete, transportation, digging pole holes, et cetera. The table also depicts that some activities have no indirect cost. For that reason, these activities will not incur any cost during the completion of the project (D. Cleland, 1983). The execution of the project is the most important phase of the project to consider, the predict success rate depends upon how the execution of the project is carried out, how the execution plan has been made to enhance the project. The project manager is responsible for carrying out the all the activities and enhance them with the execution of project, the communication plan has been made accordingly to enhance within the team communication as well as with the in the stakeholders to manage the project and execution process to be carried out (Robert M. Gray, 2008).

Risk Matrix:

The major identified risks are:

  1. Solar system compatibility challenges at the bus station.
  2. Different solar systems may fail, which in turn may cause some extra expenses.
  3. Weather Change as a part of the world environment fact.
  4. Inability to complete the project as per the stipulated budget.
  5. The installation process was taking more time than expected

The technical risks are:

  1. Incompatibility among the solar panels
  2. Defective solar panels to produce required power.
  3. Wrong direction of solar Plates Wrong Hotspot identification)

Execution of Project:

The execution of the project is one of the most important task to consider, it has number of the duties to be performed by the different members as well as with the contractors to ensure that the project has been moved towards the achievable goals.
